Back in the day the punch clock was the preferred technology to monitor attendance.
This punch clock on Level 1 at depo8 would have seen hundreds of ‘clock-in-clock-outs’. The warehouse is an old textiles factory which would have housed close to a hundred machinists and cutters. Every employee would have had their own card to punch in and punch out at the end of the day. The manager would then collate the time sheets and dish out a little yellow envelope with a bundle of cash inside it.
